From the 17th century to the early 20th, Maesyneuadd was home to the Wynn family. One of the families ancestors was Constable and staunch defender of Harlech Castle during The Wars of the Roses. His grandson laid the foundations of the old house. The house is built of local bluish green slate. There are fine gardens with a 'Ha-ha' at the front. These gardens have recently been extensively restored. Robert Graves visited Maeyneuadd and described it as the most haunted house in which he had ever stayed.
