Stowe Landscape Gardens is one of the first and finest landscape gardens in Europe, a supreme creation of the Georgian era. Its green valleys and vistas are set with lakes, monuments and temples, created and developed throughout the 18th century by some of Britain's greatest designers and architects including Vanbrugh, Kent, Gibbs, and 'Capability' Brown, who began his career here. Finest of all the temples is the Temple of Concord and Victory' which celebrates Britain's Victory in the Seven Years War and was recently reopened after an ambitious two year restoration by 'The National Trust'. 'Stowe landscape Gardens' is open to visitors all year round.
