In 2001 Jonathan painted Wartnaby House in Leicestershire. He was commissioned
by Lord and Lady King. (Lord King was the Chairman of British Airways from 1993-1997.)
The garden is seen in plan and the house and other buildings in elevation. This has
become Myles-Lea's favoured manor of presentation for gardens in recent years. This
style has more in common with Oriental rather than Western use of perspective. The
image offers a way of seeing a fully comprehensive view of the entire garden which
would be impossible through the use of photography.
